Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Conter, Rt. 1, Two Rivers, Town of Two Creeks, who died shortly before noon Friday at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel. Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, the Rev. Donald Feller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mrs. Conter, nee Anna Krofta, was born March 10, 1877, at Milwaukee, daughter of the late John and Anna Maertz Krofta. When a child, the family brought her to a farm in the Town of Carlton, Kewaunee County.
She returned to Milwaukee when a young woman and was employed as a dressmaker until Oct. 31, 1911, when she was married at Tisch Mills to Charles Conter. Mr. Conter died Feb. 27, 1953. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Mary Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Grimm, of Two Rivers; a son Carl on the home farm; two sisters, Miss Mary Krofta of Tisch Mills and Mrs. Joseph Schmid of West Allis; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. and by the Holy Rosary Society at 8:30 p.m.
