Mr. Chada was born July 30, 1883, in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, son of the late Lawrence and Mary Chruba Chada. He married Anna Karman at Tisch Mills in 1904 where the couple farmed until 1930, and then moved to Manitowoc. She died in 1945. He married Emma Zahorik in 1947 and she died in 1961.

Mr. Chada served 10 years as town clerk and nine years as treasurer for the Town of Franklin. He was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., Pauly and Pauly Cheese Company before retiring five years ago.

Surviving is a son Arnold, Dane County, a sister, of Stangelville, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
