Mary Buresh, age 84, of 1325 N. 8th St., Manitowoc, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009,
at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1924, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and
Katherine (Sloup) Buresh.
Survivors include a sister: Lillian Kempka, Charlotte, N.C.; a brother: Frank
Buresh, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Delores Manatt and her special friend,
Jerry Ingraham, N. Mex.; Beverlee and Eugene Riesterer, St. Nazianz; Randy and
Ann Kempka, Charlotte, N.C.; Kris and Keith Lavioletee, Manitowoc; Lynn and Mike
Cory, Ind.; and a special friend, Marge Zalewski, Manitowoc. Also surviving are
other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother
and sister; a sister and brother-in-law: Elizabeth and Adolph Kempka; a sister-in-
law: Leona Buresh; and a brother-in-law: Lambert Kempka.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev.
Daniel Schuster. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Tisch Mills later in
the day.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo,
Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, until the time of service at 10 a.m.
A special thank you to the Manitowoc Health Care Center, Dr. Michael Hoffman,
Advanced Hospice Staff and to St. Francis of Assisi Pastoral Care for the wonderful
care given to Mary.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
