Mrs. Katherine Buresh, 84, formerly of 857A N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Cyril VanHeeswyck will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mrs. Buresh, nee Katherine Sloup, was born July 6, 1887, in Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Mathew and Mary Mack Sloup. She was married to John Buresh Aug. 31, 1909, at Ashland. Following marriage the couple settled in Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death in 1925.
Survivors include a son, Frank of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Elizabeth) Kempka of Zephyrihills, Fla., and Mrs. Lambert (Lillian) Kempka and Miss Mary J. Buresh of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Edward Swanda of Milwaukee, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A son, a daughter, a brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a Wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
