Michael Robert Fornadley, 57, died June 22nd 2012 at his home in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
He was born September 3rd 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born to parents, still living, Regina Micklos Schaffner of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Robert Joseph Fornadley of Pittsburgh, PA. Michael worked as a stained glass craftsman and owned a stained glass business in Pittsburgh, PA for 15 years before moving to the Outer Banks in 1989. Upon moving to the area he opened Michael's Gems and Glass still located in Corolla, NC.
Survived by wife Mary Fornadley, children; John Michael, Elisabeth Marie, Sarah Elisabeth, and Michelle Tiffany Fornadley, grandchildren; Amara Janae, Seth Michael, and Isaac David Fornadley-Wilson. Also left behind are his siblings Robert and Timothy Fornadley, Regina Wade, Stephanie Schaffner, and stepmother Margaret Fornadley. Proceeded in death in 2009 stepfather Charles Schaffner of Kills Devil Hills, NC.
Services will be held at Liberty Christian Fellowship, 244 Williams Dr. Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 on Wednesday June 27th at 2:00 p.m. Twiford Funeral Home in Manteo, NC will receive any flowers and can be contacted for any additional information.
