Funeral services for William Pope Shurett, 63, who died Monday afternoon at home after an illness of several months, will be held this afternoon, will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Brandon Memorial Church, with the Rev. J. Clifton Draper officiating.Members of Rising Virtue Lodge No. 4, A.F. and A. & M. will conduct services at the graveside, Mathis-Jones will have charge of internment at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. J.V. Masters, J. collier Foster, Laddie Hamilton, Andrew Steele, Manley Sexton, Truman Daniel.

Mr. Shurett is survived by his widow, Mrs. Docie Holley Shurett, four sons, W. S. Shurett, of New Orleans, H. E., Tom, Robert Shurett, of Tuscaloosa, three daughters, Mrs. L. W. Werner, of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. H. H. Rudd, of Coker, and Miss Betty Jean Shurett, of Tuscaloosa. Three brothers and two sisters also survive.
