SHERMAN, Feb. 14 (Spl).- Funeral services for Journey Phillip Abernathy, 99, who died Thursday after an illness of six years, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Barrett Chapel here with burial in Hebron Cemetery, north of Bells. Abernathy, a machinist, carpenter and farmer, was born in Georgia and had lived in Sherman since 1917. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J. H. Dickerson and Miss Pearl Abernathy of Sherman and Mrs. Theo A. Nix of Dallas; two sons, Milton Abernathy of Sherman and Hubert Abernathy of El Cajon, Cal.; a half sister, Mrs. Jerry Hooks of Albany, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
