Services for Edna Litton Newby, 94, of North Fifth Street, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Mike Cox. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 25, 1909, in Scott County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Abigail Chambers Litton. She was a homemaker, a member of Danville First Church of God and Retired Veterans and Railway Club, and the widow of John Will Newby. Survivors include a son, Bob Newby of Danville; two daughters, Norma Yankey of Danville and Mary F. Catlett of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a brother, Horace M. Litton of Danville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.She was preceded in death by a son, John M.Newby. Pallbearers will be John Robert Newby, Billy CharlesLay, Bobby Harris, Ray and Roy Bonta, and Alford Smith.Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
