FALL RIVER, Mass. - Henry J. Nasiff,
72, of Fall River, MA passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.
He was the husband of forty-seven years to Claudette (Desjardins) Nasiff.
Henry was born in Fall River, MA on January 31, 1936, the son of the late Farris and Eleanor (Nagem) Nasiff.
Mr. Nasiff was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1954, he then served his country with the United States Army. After serving his country he worked for the family business Nasiff Fruit Company in Fall River, he also was a letter carrier for the United States Postal service for many years stationed at the main office in Fall River. Henry also drove a school bus for the town of Swansea school system, and was a member of the NALC branch 51, and the Lebanon American Society.
Survivors beside his wife of forty-seven years are a daughter Rebecca C. Nasiff of Westport, MA; two sons Michael J. Nasiff and his wife Nancy of Middletown, RI, Daniel J. Nasiff and his wife Penny of Wills Point, Texas, a brother Farris "Luke" Nasiff of Fall River,MA; five grandchildren Tiffany, Jennifer, Jeremy, Elizabeth, and the late Dakota. He is also survived by a great-grandson Dylan.
He was the father of the late Henry J. Nasiff Jr.(Memorial # 6001653), and brother of Frederick Nasiff
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the Hebert-Hathaway Funeral Home, 945 South Main Street, Fall River, MA. Followed by a mass of the Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Saint Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial to follow with Military honors in Notre Dame Cemetery.
