Ms. Maxine Loudermilk, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at her home in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Roger Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the Roberts Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Loudermilk was born in Carbon Glow, Kentucky, on April 4, 1930, to the late Jess and Suzie (Hunley) Lynch. She was a homemaker and loved to cook, sew and keep her house. She was a member of the Whitley City Church of Christ and enjoyed reading her Bible. In her earlier years, she worked at DuPont Lodge, The Falls Motel and a motel in Scott County, Tennessee.

Preceding her in death are her parents Jess and Suzie Lynch, her husband Ottis Loudermilk whom she married June 30, 1962 in Jellico, Tennessee, her brothers Jim, Haskell, and Cecil Lynch, and her sisters; Margaret Fritzsche, Pauline McKee, Jessie Slater, Hazel Hinkle and Blanch Honeycutt.

Surviving family include a daughter Stella Griffis of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, a son Gale Lynch and his wife Pamela of Whitley City, four grandchildren Jeremy Lynch, Eric Griffis, Jessica and Jordan Lynch, and two great grandchildren; Beth Slusher and Paige Lynch.
