Mrs. Paridon Dies Suddenly; Mother is Ill in Hospital

Mrs. Margaret Paridon, of 419 ½ Seventeenth street, Rock Island, wife of John H. Paridon, proprietor of the Paridon Wallpaper company, died at 2:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon in St. Anthony's hospital, where she had been taken a few minutes before. Mrs. Paridon suffered a heart attack in her home.

Mrs. Paridon's mother, Mrs. Elmer C. Dewein, 702 Twenty-first street, Rock Island, had been taken to the same hospital the evening before as the result of paralysis. Mrs. DeWein's condition was reported as somewhat improved today.

Funeral services for Mrs. Paridon will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Wheelan funeral home, the Rev. Ernest J. Campbell, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Chippiannock cemetery.

Mrs. Paridon, the former Miss Margaret Dewein, was born Feb 14, 1894, in Galesburg. She was reared and educated there and was married to Mr. Paridon 24 years ago in Rock Island.

She since resided in Rock Island, and was associated with her husband in their wallpaper company. She was a member of King's Daughters and of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are the widower; her mother, a son Lieutenant John H. Paridon, Jr. home on furlough after serving in the Aleutians; a brother William E. DeWein, Rock Island; two sisters, Mrs. Mae [James] Brannon and Mrs. Myrtle (William E.) Lowman, both of Rock Island. Her father, a son, and nephew preceded her in death.
