Mrs. Velma Mae Upchurch,died it her home in Tucumcari, NM on November 16 following a long illness. Mrs. Upchurch was born in Dodson and attended public school there.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and was faithful in attendance aa long aa her health permitted. Due to her friendly disposition she had many friends in Dodson and Wellington.
She and Mr. Upchurch lived in Wellington for a number of years before moving to New Mexico. He was engaged in promotional advertising of theatres and other business institutions.
Mrs. Upchurch is survived by her husband, A.W. Upchurch of Tucumcari, her mother, Mrs. Lena Miller of Wellington; three brothers, Alvin Miller of Anaheim, Odell Miller of Cotton and Jack Miller of Albuquerque and two sisters: Mrs. Bill Barnett, of San Francisco and Mrs. Lucille Martin of Odessa.
