After a brief illness form pneumonia, Mrs, Margaret Ellen Barker passed away at her home in Hamilton, Wednesday morning Feb. 19, 1919.

Margaret E. Walker was born in Jefferson County, Tenn., May 20, 1866.

When five years old moved with her parent to Indiana. The family came to Greenwood County, Kansas in 1885 settling near Quincy. She was married to William Stone in 1891, to which union were born three children, one dying infancy, one other at the age of 12 years, leaving only surviving child Asiel, who is at home. Mr. Stone died in 1900 and in 1910 she married to Alex Barker. They came to Hamilton which has since been her home.

Mrs. Barker was converted and joined the United Brethern Church at Virgil many years ago, where she retained her membership until her death. She also belonged to the Royal Neighbors.

She leaves beside her husband and son, an aged father, sisters and other relatives to mourn her departure.

The body was taken to Virgil Saturday morning where the funeral was held, conducted by Rev. Mr. (last name not readable) interment made in the family lot in Virgil Cemetery.
