FITZGERALD, SISTER KENNETH Sister Kenneth Fitzgerald, OP (born Madeline Mary Helen Fitzgerald) of Grand Rapids (born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada) died July 9, 2012. She was 95 years old and a Dominican Sister for 76 years. Sister Kenneth served as teacher, and in some instances principal, at the following schools: Holy Family and St. Mary's, Saginaw; Marywood Academy, Catholic Central and Blessed Sacrament, Grand Rapids; St. Alfred's, Taylor; Our Lady of Fatima, Albuquerque; Holy Rosary and All Saints, Bay City; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Chesaning. She also served as pastoral minister at Madonna Villa, Fraser, MI and as health care coordinator at Northview Manor, Grand Rapids. Sister Kenneth is survived by her sister Eileen MacLean of Comox, British Columbia; stepsister Theresa Craddock of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; stepbrother Henry (Maxine) Letourneau, Rosetown, Saskatchewan; and her sister-in-law Theresa Fitzgerald of Ottawa, Ontario; nieces and nephews, many friends and members of her Dominican community. Sister Kenneth will repose at Dominican Chapel/ Marywood, 2025 East Fulton Street with visitation on Tuesday, July 10 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The Remembering Service will be on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Dominican Chapel/ Marywood. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at Dominican Chapel/ Marywood. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
