Death Claims Winfred Pepper of Sikes, Sept. 4

Winfred Pepper of Sikes died early Monday morning, Sept. 4, 1950, in a Monroe hospital, following an illness of more than a year's duration. Funeral services were held at the Hebron Baptist Church at 2 p.m. September 5.

A native of Sikes, Mr. Pepper had been an employee of the highway department and later was engaged in the timber business. He was a member of the Hebron Church.

Surviving are his wife, of Sikes; a son, Chester, and two daughters, all of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Crain, Sikes; Mrs. Martha Ann Mayes and Miss Nancy Pepper, of Grayson; three brothers, Edwin and Kindred of Sikes and an older brother of Winnsboro.
