Mrs. Christena Clauson died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wilbur Hall, in Glasford, Tuesday, May 7, 1918, at 6:00 a. m. Mrs. Clauson has been sick about two years, and death was caused by dropsy.
Christena Lightbody was born near Glasford, May 13, 1878, and was 39 years, 11 months and 24 days old at the time of her death.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon (Thursday) at the M. E. Church, conducted by Rev. Mrs. Sharpe, of the U. B. Chapel, The casket was opened at the house from 12 to 1:30 o'clock today. Interment at Lancaster cemetery. The W. R. C. of which the deceased was a member, conducted their burial service at the church.
The deceased leaves to mourn her death, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lightbody, four brothers and four sisters, Charlie, Delmer, Elmer and Orie Lightbody, Mrs. Stella Clark, Mrs. Grace McMann, Mrs. Velma Hall, and Miss Eva Lightbody, two children. Walter and Ora Clauson, all of Glasford, and a host of other relatives and friends. An infant daughter, Opal, preceded the mother in death, two years ago.
