Babcock - At New Centerville, Feb. 21, 1889, Geo. W. Babcock aged 82 years.
-The deceased came to Wisconsin in 1850 and settled in the town of Rush River, St. Croix county, where his home has since been, with the exception of five years spent in Tennessee from whence he returned last spring. He was twice married and was the father of thirteen children - eight daughters and five sons - ten of whom are now living. He was for many years a member of the Baptist church and was highly esteemed by all his acquaintances. The funeral will be held at the home of his son Simon tomorrow, Rev. Mr. Smith of Hammond officiating.
