BYHALIA - Fairy Gladys Dowdy, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Miss. in Oxford. She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Ecru with Bro. Bob Johnson officiating. Burial will be in t he Shady Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann Roberson and husband, Charlie, of Byhalia; one son, Terry Dowdy and wife, Holly, of Pontotoc; one stepson, Loyd Dowdy of Memphis; one stepdaughter, Mable Waagen of Pontotoc; one sister, Mary Treadaway of Blue Springs; two brothers, Videll Hailey of Memphis and Bill Bailey of Blue Mountain; one daughter-in-law, Marjorie Huffstatler of Ecru; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke L. and Willie E. Bailey; her husband, Loyd Dowdy; one son, Jimmy Huffstatler; and a sister, Lois Allen.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
