Services were Tuesday at the Herreid Baptist Church. Reverend Harry Johnson officiated. Burial in the Fairview cemetery.
He was born September 06, 1906 to Philip and Dorothy (Reidlinger) Ackerman near Herreid. He married Emelia Bauer in Herreid.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Norman of Herreid, a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Wilma) Goehring of Mobridge, a sister, Katie Aman of Bismarck, and three grandchilden.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Adam, Jake, Phillip, John and Christ; two sisters, Mrs. Emilia Fried and Elizabeth Weishaar and his parents.
