Frederick was the son of Asa Fisk and Betsey Henry.

On Nov 19, 1829 in Whitefield, NH he married Sarah Clark. In 1830 they were living with his parents in Whitefield, then moved to Lancaster, NH where they spent the rest of their lives.

Their children were Diantha, Edward P, William C, Alice, George, and Moses, who died as a young child.

Frederick for many years kept a hotel in Lancaster, known as the American House. It was a strictly temperance tavern, and at one time the leading hostelry of the place, and a resort of White Mountain travel in its earlier, simpler days.

When he sold the hotel property he engaged in the business of putting in drainage and water works in the growing village of Lancaster, partly by contract for the town and partly as a private undertaking. He was still engaged in this enterprise at the time of his death in 1873.

Sarah was living with their daughter, Alice, in Ohio when she died in 1886.
