Son of Mr. & Mrs. David Goss, born in the town of Canton, December 15, 1869. In 1894 he bought the farm where he resided ever since and in true biblical fashion, in the sweat of his brow, made a home for himself and family. He was married to Isabel Goss June 1895 and to this union 8 children were born,: Dottie B., deceased, Stanley V. of Eau Claire, Elmer F. of Mondovi, William M. of Downsville, Myron C. of Mondovi, Mrs. C. Haas (Winifred) of Eau Claire, Mrs. Ludwig Weiss(Blanche) of Mondovi, and Glen at home.
In late November he underwent an operation from which he fully recovered. However, in June he began to fail and all that medical aid and loving hands could do was of no avail and he passed away Friday afternoon, July 21 1944, at his home.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and 7 children, 2 sisters Mrs. John Ellenberger of Mondovi, and Frank Van Hoosen of Ventura, Cal., and 4 brothers, Philip of Stanley, Norman and Wilmer of Oxford, N.Y., Lincoln of Ventura, Cal., 14 grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Burial Oak Park cemetery.
