We believe this Rebecca is Rebecca Ann oldest child of William Mansell, son of Elisha, and his first wife who had nine children. With the death of her mother, Rebecca shouldered a large burden in caring for the younger children. In 1863, Rebecca married Jordan Hale, they were the parents of Emma and Thomas. He died before 1870.
