Lillian Eileen Jokie, 90, of Kimball Township, passed away April 24, 2012 in Regency On The Lake, Ft. Gratiot just six months after her loving husband, Raynard, of 70 years.
She was born December 9, 1921 in Buno, Ohio to the late Frederick and Nellie Bourdo. She married Raynard M. Jokie on September 20, 1941 in Detroit. He died October 9, 2011.
Lillian was a homemaker. She worked in the Marysville Bakery from the late 50's to the early 60's. She enjoyed bingo, cards, crocheting, music, rides to Marysville Park with Raynard to watch the freighters go by and spending winters in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Lillian is deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was a wonderful mother to sons, Roy (Gloria) Jokie of Ft. Myers and Fred (Alice) Jokie of Smiths Creek; two daughters, Marjorie Hall of Sandusky and Jackie (Neil) Hamann of Marysville; caring grandmother to 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; her sister, June Lentz; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 in First Baptist Church of Marysville, 1234 6th Street, Marysville. Pastor Gary Wesch will officiate.
