THERESA MAHNKE
(1872 - 1952)

Mrs. August Mahnke, 79, was found dead in her upstairs apartment, 1012 South 12th St., Manitowoc, shortly before noon Wednesday by a neighbor. She lived alone.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L.H. Koeninger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.

She was born Theresa Wolter in Manitowoc Rapids in 1872 and in 1894 was married to Mr. Mahnke. They resided in Sheboygan for five years before locating in Manitowoc. Her husband, who died 10 years ago was employed at the Aluminum Goods Company.

Survivors are two sons, Herb of Manitowoc, Arthur of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Zapfe of Manitowoc, Mrs. Louise Barthels of Mishicot; three grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.

Funeral plans are in charge of the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
