A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Oregon City Evangelical Church for Pauline Harrel, who died Oct. 30 at age 84.

Mrs. Harrel was born March 25, 1916, in Heil, N.D. Her maiden name was Hochhalter. She had lived in Milwaukie since 1948 and cooked for the Oak Grove School District for 24 years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of the church. In 1934, she married Horace "Shorty" Harrel; he died in 1997.

Survivors include her son, Robert; daughter, Mary Ann Rebmann; sisters, Lydia Sanatel and Leah Johnston; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. The family suggests remembrances to her church's building fund. Arrangements are by Hillside Chapel.
