Mr. Barton was born March 14, 1932 and died on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was devoted to his family and especially loved his grandchildren who call him "Papa".
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, LaRue Allen Barton; son, Danny Barton (Linda); step children Karen Lange (Rupert) and Darren Hearne (Sandra). Grandchildren are Matt Barton (Elizabeth), Luke Barton (Dixie), David Barton, Danny Lynn Barton, Lori Barton, Rupert Lange, Randall Lange, Brook Lange, Dusty Thomas, Brian Mathers and Jacob Mathers.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Doris; parents, Robert and Sarah Jane (Cockerham) Barton.
Edward served in the United States Army in the Korean War receiving the Army of Occupation Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart Medal and Korean Service Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars. Pallbearers will be grandsons. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Caney Lake Baptist Church.
