A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2003, in Atkinson Memorial Church in Oregon City for Warren Samuel Adams, who died April 29 at age 85.

Mr. Adams was born June 8, 1917, in Peru, Neb. He graduated from Peru State Teachers College, and received a master's degree from Oregon State College and a doctorate from the University of Oregon. He moved in 1945 to Molalla, and was a researcher and program developer for the Northwest Regional Education Lab. In 1938, he married Miriam Reel.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Cora J. Brown and Delores Erb; son, John W.; sisters, Betty Appelton and Mary Broyles; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
