Mr. Adams was born June 8, 1917, in Peru, Neb. He graduated from Peru State Teachers College, and received a master's degree from Oregon State College and a doctorate from the University of Oregon. He moved in 1945 to Molalla, and was a researcher and program developer for the Northwest Regional Education Lab. In 1938, he married Miriam Reel.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Cora J. Brown and Delores Erb; son, John W.; sisters, Betty Appelton and Mary Broyles; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
