QUANAH (Spl.) - Emery Carl Allred, 46, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Knowles Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Ray, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park.

Mr. Allred was born July 31, 1929, in Quanah. He married Mary Winifred Kutch June 30, 1969, in Fort Forth [sic].

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Lona Allred of Quanah; two step-daughters, Mrs. Connie Halbrook of Amarillo and Mrs. Roxy Rider of El Cajon, Calif.; three step-sons, Benny Lesley and Bobby Lesley, both of El Paso, and Donnie Lesley of Hereford; one brother, R.L. Allred of Amarillo; a sister, Mrs. Frankie Ritchie of Quanah; four half-sisters, Mrs. Callie Lanthier of Murcheson, Mrs. Janice Kelley of Tyler, Mrs. Jane Blackston of Hawthorne, Calif., and Mrs. Peggy Ballantine of Chowchilla, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
