Dorothy Mae Bauer, 91, of Edgerton, KS, passed away Thurs., July 5, 2012. Dorothy was born on Sept. 20, 1920, in Parker, KS, to Irvin Cowan and Dott Pearl (Stites) Bearly. She was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church. She worked at Kansas School for the Deaf before retiring in 1985. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl W. Bauer. Survivors include her two daughters: Nelda Boyd (Ken) and Barbara Wood (Terry). She will be sadly missed by her 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her brother, Irvin Bearly; sisters, June Raper and Ethel Phillippe; and fond companion dog "Gabby". Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tues., July 10, at Faith Baptist Church, 15285 S. Hwy 169 Olathe, KS. Burial in Goodrich Cemetery, Goodrich, KS. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Mon., July 9, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home.
