Jessie B. Turnbaugh, 98, formerly of Station Square Apartments, Altoona, died Thursday evening at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Logan Township, daughter of the late James Moore Dunn and Mary Maude (Cornelius) Dunn. She married William F. Turnbaugh on April 29, 1939, in West View, Pittsburgh, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1969.

Surviving are two daughters: Mona DeRose (Ron) of York and Sandy Riley (Jerry) of Altoona; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene Hileman of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by two daughters: Donna Turnbaugh and Judy Reinbacher; a grandchild; four brothers: William, James, Richard and Delbert Dunn; and two sisters: Harriet Ott and Amanda Otto.

Jessie was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading and watching Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, Pastor Lou Hileman officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
