TUSCALOOSA | Thelma Frances Osment, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, died peacefully July 10, 2005 at Noland Long Term Care Unit of Tuscaloosa. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Winters and Rev. Cullen Williams officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memory Chapel. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider will be directing.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, James Merritt Osment and her five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Herren of Cottondale and Helen Price of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Dina Hampton (John) of Decatur, Ala., Susan Ryan (Mike) of Cottondale, Ala., Tracey Price of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Cole Price (Rachel) of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She was a member of Fairview Wesleyan Church.
Pallbearers will be Cole Price, John Osment, Mike Ryan, John Hampton, Lee Millsaps, Tommy Blackmon and Ronnie Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers are family and friends of the Mitchell Community, Tuscaloosa Area, Dr. Thomas McDermott and Joanna Bundrum.
