Funeral Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel, Sauk Rapids for Daniel S. Landowski, age 86, who died Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids. Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and burial with full military honors provided by Waite Park American Legion Post 428 will be at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Friends and relatives may call from 11:30 a.m. " 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel. Arrangements were made by Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Daniel was born Oct. 11, 1924 near Duelm (Sherburne County) to Leo & Clara (Kampa) Landowski. He married Mavis Ellefson on Nov. 29, 1949 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm. Daniel worked as an assembler at Franklin Manufacturing/Frigidaire in St. Cloud for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Cloud, Waite Park American Legion Post 428, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. Daniel loved fishing.
Survivors include his daughter and sons, Victoria Landowski of St. Cloud, Jay (Mary) Landowski of Winona, and Lonnie Landowski (Jody Kruse) of Sartell; sister and brother, Ann Lange of Monticello and Raymond Landowski of Becker; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mavis on Nov. 27, 1980; brother, Roy Landowski; sister, Dorothy Stallcop; and a great grandson.
