"Freddie Dodson age 79 of Santa Anna passed from this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 9:00 pm at the Baptist House of Hope in San Angelo, Texas.

"Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Moore & Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 till 6:30 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

"Freddie was born June 29, 1933 in Crosby County, Texas to the late Louis Jefferson and Veda Lane Tidmore Dodson. He has been a resident of Coleman County since 1939 and attended the Santa Anna Schools. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War 1953-1955. On October 28, 1967 Freddie married Edith Alley in Brownwood, Texas and they have celebrated forty four years of marriage. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was very dedicated and served as Sunday School General Secretary for many years. He owned and operated Modern Way Laundry for 27 years with much help from his parents and his wife Edith. For 54 years Freddie served the Santa Anna Volunteer Fire Department. Freddie was very loyal to John Deere tractors and had some of the cleanest ones in the county along with restoring several old ones back to their original state. He was a stockfarmer caring for his animals and he loved his many friends.

"Survivors include his wife, Edith Dodson of Santa Anna, Texas; 2 brothers, Billy Dodson of Bangs, Texas and Mickey Dodson of Midland, Texas; a nephew and special friend, Chester Ballard of Brownwood, Texas; several nieces and nephews."
