Mrs. Ellen MacDonald Mead, 72, widow of the late Melville Mead, died Thursday morning after a three-week illness at her late home in Quaker Street. She was born in Quaker Street; daughter of the late DeWitt and Rebecca Weaver MacDonald, and
was married 53 years ago. Her husband died five years ago. She was a member of the Christian church.
Survivors are one son, Duane Mead, Quaker Street; three daughters, Mrs.- Romeyn H Schrade, Duanesburg; Mrs. Walter Thomas, Schenectady; and Miss' Dorothy Mead, Quaker Street; one grandson, Shirwin Shrade, Duanesburg; and two sisters, Mrs. William J. Reynolds, Norwich, Conn., and Mrs. William M. Hoag of Cranberry Lake, N. J.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, afternoon. Rev. John, J. Prudom, pastor of the Delanson Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Grove cemetery, Quaker Street, NY
