Said to be "Amish" by her grandsons, however Stringer not known to be Amish/Mennonite surname. Mary's mother was Irish. At least 5 children, 4 living in 1900: Frank (b.12/83), George (b.12/91), Michael (b.8/95); Nellie (b.4/97). m. 3/25/83.

Biological parents: Sarah ___ Stringer (b. Ir. 1835) & either Gibbons J. Stringer (b. PA 1823) or more likely Sarah's 1st husband (name unknown). Mother Sarah, aka Sallie, emigrated to US 1849, apparently widowed, married Gibbons sometime betw. 1864 and 1880.
