Robert Abbey, 54, a former resident of Mansfield, died Tuesday in Jersey City, NJ, following a brief illness.

Born July 16, 1911, in Dowagiac, MI, he came to Mansfield in 1935, leaving here later. he was a driver for Tulley's Truck Stop in Jersey City.

Surviving are three daughters; one brother, Loren Abbey of Conneaut; three step-sisters and one step-brother.

Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday in Mansfield Memorial Park.
