Mr. Benoit was retired from Kraft Foods and had also been employed by Roper Corporation, Kankakee Division. He was born Oct. 7, 1931, in Kankakee, the son of Joseph and Irene Prairie Benoit. His wife, the former Theresa Detoux, whom he married Oct. 27, 1951, at St. George Catholic Church, died April 22, 1987. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the St. George American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed dancing.
