Ralph Victor Leon Corbin, 88 of rural Nevada died on Thursday, October 25 at his home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada. Burial of the cremains will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor David R. Burling officiating.

Ralph was born on November 9, 1918 in Putnam County, Missouri to Alfred Herman and Kittie Klyde (Kincad) Corbin. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. On June 4, 1949, Ralph married Violet Fern Pauley in Milan, Missouri. He was a carpenter. Ralph enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching baseball.

Ralph is survived by his wife Violet F. Corbin; 2 sons, Dwight (Lorina) Corbin and Dennis Corbin, all of Nevada; a sister, Doris (Wilber) Whipple of Hampton; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nancy Walton on July 4, 2003, son-in-law, Roger Walton on May 21, 2002, brothers and sisters, Trulin Corbin, Alfred Junior Corbin, Amber Drahos, Lucy Sodders, Mavis Dull, Lena Smith, Twila Bailey, Hazel Pauley, and Rose Huse.

A memorial fund has been established in Ralph's name for Homeward Hospice of Ames.
