Mrs. Martha Viola Crouse, wife of Lewis Crouse died yesterday morning at 5:30 o'clock at the family residence, 1411 Market Street. She had been ill for several months and for about two weeks had been confined to her bed. She was a daughter of the late Levi Irwin. She was born in Clearfield county about 50 years ago, and had been a resident of this city most of her life. Besides her husband, she is survived by eight children as follows: Mrs. George Thomas, Mrs. George Sands, Nora, Irvin, Ralph, Robert, Ida and Eleanor.

The funeral of Mrs. Martha Viola Crouse, whose death occurred Sun. after a two week illness from heart disease, was held from the Market street Methodist Church yesterday afternoon at 3:30. Rev. Carl V. Drake conducted the services. Last April, Mrs. Crouse's father, Levi Irvin died suddenly, and constant brooding over his death is believed to have hastened her own. Six nephews of the deceased acted as pall bearers, Paul and Ralph Seitzer, Harry and William Crouse, William Newton, and Charles Shawver. Interment was made in West Wildwood Cemetery
