Sgt. Bobby Edward Beasley, 36, of 77 Chopwood Drive, Inwood, W.Va., formerly of Suttontown, N.C., died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in Ghazni, Afghanistan.
Sgt. Beasley was born Feb. 19, 1968, in Sampson County, N.C., the son of Leon and Charity McDaniel Beasley. He was serving in the 29th Infantry Division of the Virginia National Guard. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and fought in Operation Desert Storm. He had served in the National Guard for the past 12 years.
He was married to Juanita Basore Beasley for four years.
Surviving with his wife, are his father and stepmother, Leon and Addie Beasley of Roseboro, N.C.; and two brothers, Lewis Beasley of Robins, N.C., and John Beasley of Winchester.
In addition to his mother, a brother, Fernie Beasley, is deceased.
