OAKLAND – Mrs. Frances Maude Friend, 93, of Sang Run, died Sunday at her residence.
A native of Friendsville, she was a daughter of the late Joab and Sarah Friend. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Homer Custer and Wesley Friend.

Mrs. Friend was a member of the Sang Run United Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are five sons, Ray Custer, Northville, Mich.; George Custer, Uniontown, PA; Arnold Friend, Sang Run; Homer Friend, Scottdale, Pa., and Russell Friend, Oakland; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Meyers, Detroit; Mrs. Laura Meyers, Taylor, Mich.; Mrs. Elma Arbitter, Mich., and Mrs. Ruth Spiker, Sang Run; two sisters, Mrs. Cora DeWitt, Calif.; Mrs. Hazel Hilderbrand, Grand rapids, Mich.; 36 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted today at 2. P.m. at the Sang Run United Pentecostal Church. Rev. Ralph Jacks will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
