Mr. Dean, a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, had retired in 1975 as a farmer and a school bus driver for Shelbyville Central Schools.
A son of Elmer and Maggie(Stum)Dean, he was born March 28, 1910, in Zionsville.
He was married August 17, 1931, to Mary C. miller, who survives. Also surviving are sons, Earnest H. Dean, Shelbyville, Donald L. Dean, Fountaintown, and Tony W. Dean, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Ann Pitts, Seattle, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a half-brother, George"Sonny"Dean, Jackson County; half-sisters, Mrs. David(Mable)Barnes, Shelbyville, and Betty Dean, Seymour; and a step-brother, James Krebs, Seymour.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Garland Johnson and R.D. Curry officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway.
