His first wife was Mary Elizabeth Watson, born 2 Oct 1854 and died Sept 1895 in Haralson County, GA. I have not found her grave. She was the mother of Nancy Ann Idella Holcombe and Reuben William Franklin Holcombe. Do not confuse daughter, Nancy Ann Idella Holcombe with his second wife, also names Nancy Ann Idella, but last name Williams. This caused me much confusion when first learning about my great grandmother, Nancy!
