Marc came to America from France in 1827 with 3 of his brothers. He was married in Washington, D.C. on December 23, 1849 to Mary Murray. They had 2 children Anne B.& Francis Xavier. . He was buried on May 3, 1852 in St. Peter's Cemetery in Washington, D.C., the Cemetery was removed after the new church was built.

He was reinterred in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Washington, D.C. on April 4, 1860.
He was a Machinist/ Instrument maker for the Coast Survey in Washington, D.C.
