Mr. Liebman was the owner of Leeds' Jewelers at Wards Corner in Norfolk since 1962. He was born in Bristol, Tenn., and was a resident of Tidewater most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Gold Liebman; three brothers, Bernard, Julius and Philip Liebman; two sisters, Henrietta Karlin and Rebekah Liebman. He was a founding member of Temple Israel in Norfolk.
Survivors include three sons, Philip A. Liebman of Virginia Beach, David S. Liebman of Norfolk, Michael J. Liebman of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Erma Liebman and Naomi Jacobs; three grandchildren, Daniel R. Liebman, Rachel E. Liebman and Benjamin I. Liebman.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 1997, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Yael Fischman. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel are handling arrangements.
