Jean M. (Ball) Baumlin of Vestal, NY 90 went home to be with her Lord on June 22, 2011 at Lourdes Hospital. Jean was born on September 30, 1920 in Johnson City, NY. She was predeceased by her first husband Marshall W. Ball and her Mother and Father, Dewitt Durland and Louisa Durland. Jean is survived by her husband Perry Baumlin; children Rebecca (Hank) Teed, Douglas (Shelly) Ball, and Donald (Nancy) Ball; stepchildren William (Susan) Baumlin, Brett (Barbara) Baumlin, Craig (Susan) Baumlin, Eric Baumlin, Reid (Debra) Baumlin; 10 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Johnson. Jean was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church for 73 years. She was treasurer of the Primitive Methodist Missionary Fellowship for many years. She volunteered at Vacation Bible School and was a former secretary of the Sunday school. Jean worked as guidance office secretary at Maine-Endwell High School for 25 years. She was a volunteer for 12 years in the Administrative Office at Lourdes Hospital. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and board games. She also enjoyed many years of travel with Perry. Jean and Perry were members of an elderly social group called "Prime Timers."The family will receive friends on Friday June 24 from 10-12pm at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City followed by a funeral service at 12:30pm at the Primitive Methodist Church, 4 Ackley Ave. Johnson City. The Rev. Elvin S. Murphy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Primitive Methodist Missionary Fellowship, 4 Ackley Avenue, Johnson City, NY or Traci's Hope, P.O. Box 504, Apalachin, NY 13732.
