Catherine and Francis were married about 1843 in East Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. Catherine and Francis had eight children. They were: Edgar F. Bean was born in 1844; Arthur Melvin Bean was born on 04 April 1846; Joseph Wardwell Bean was born in 1847; Eugene Sue Bean was born on 07 June 1850; Albert Augustus Bean was born in 1852; May Bean was born in 1857; and Kathie Bean was born in 1858; Florus Bean was born in 1866. All the children were born in East Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.
May was three years eight months old when she died.
