Melville - Funeral services for Eric Albert Anderson, Sr., age 92 will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 in the First Pentecostal Church in Melville. Internment will follow in the Pentecostal Cemetery.

Rev. Samuel Ham, Rev. Ray Majors and Rev. Ed Kennedy will conduct the service in the First Pentecostal Church.

Eric was a resident of Melville. He passed away at Opelousas General Health System, on Wednesday September 22, 2010.

Eric proudly served in the Air Force during W.W.II.

Survivors include, his son; Eric "Andy" Anderson Jr. of Baton Rouge, his step sons; Stanley Kennedy and his wife Joann of Melville, Roger Kennedy and his wife Margie of Melville, and Rev. Ed Kennedy and his wife Carole of Arcadia, Florida, and one step daughter; Charlene Shealy, and her husband Charles, of Grovetown, GA and one sister; Ruby Ansley of Melville, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and also a host of nieces and nephews who dearly loved and cared for him.

Preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Annie Johnson Anderson, his wife; Doris Anderson, his two brothers; William and Charles Anderson, and his four sisters; Annie Circello, Dessie Circello, Martha Reist, and Ruth Jordan.

A military service will held at the grave side.

Visiting hours will be observed at the First Pentecostal Church in Melville, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 24, 2010
