Alfred A. Lepley aged 52, of Sugar Lake died suddenly at 5 p.m. Saturday at the home of Earl Ferry at Hannaville, where he was drilling a water well. Although he suffered a heart attack two weeks previously he apparently was in good health on Saturday, when he was stricken and died in a few minutes. He was well known throughout the Sugar Lake region as a water well driller.
He leaves his wife, the former Mamie Freeman and three children: William, Florence, and Josephine, at home; also his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lepley of Franklin, and the following brothers and sisters; Walter Lepley of Saegertown, Mrs. William Schwab of Meadville, Roy Lepley of Emlenton, John Lepley of Cochranton, Harry and Earl Lepley and Mrs. Edward Russell of Franklin.
