Cancer causer of death of James P Hamilton, 81, at the home of his son, Riley Hamilton, Elm St, Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
He was born in Otsego, October 7, 1844, where he spent the great part of his life. For the past five years he had made his home with his son Riley. Mr Hamilton was married to Elizabeth Ann Beinter, October 19, 1865. To this union twelve children were born eight of whom survive. He united with the Presbyterian Church in early manhood and later transferred his membership to the local M.P. Church of which he remained a consistent member
The following children survive, D.L. Hamilton and Harry Hamilton, both of Illinois, Mrs J.M. Pratt of Indiana, Riley, Allen McKnight and Arthur Hamilton of this city and Mrs. Cassie Crumbaker of Cincinnati. Two brothers and one sister also survive. They are L.C. Hamilton and Mrs Polly Marlowe of Fremont and Mrs Isaac McGraw if Chicago.
Funeral services will be held at the local M.P.Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Franklin Cemetery
